You can’t apply to certain funding sources that only accept applications from exempt organizations and disallow applications from fiscal sponsors (like the NEA). You cannot get a nonprofit bulk mailing rate. You cannot accept vehicle donations (the IRS restrictions governing how vehicle donations must be processed are incompatible with our program). You cannot take advantage of sales tax exemption if you are operating outside New York State. Other than that, you can take advantage of almost every benefit that is normally afforded to an exempt organization.
