What are the legislative requirements for users of industrial radiography equipment?
A registration under the Radiation Safety Act 1975 is required for all industrial radiography gamma and x-ray equipment, and any site on which the equipment is used. The registration allows for use at field sites. Each registration has a registrant (usually a managing director of a company) and a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
