What are the legislative requirements for Industrial Radiography Assistants?

0

Although a licence is not required for an Industrial Radiography Assistant, approval is required from the Radiological Council BEFORE they may commence practical work as an Assistant. Assistants must receive training from their employer, and must work under the direction and continuous, immediate personal supervision of a licensed industrial radiographer. All radiographic exposures must cease should the licensee be absent even if only temporarily for reasons such as film processing, image quality review, etc.
