What Are The Leg Muscles?
The main muscles of the leg consist of the quadriceps (the front thigh muscles responsible for thigh extension) and hamstrings (the muscles responsible for flexing the leg at the knee joint). As our bodys largest muscles, they have the most strength and endurance of our bodys muscles. In turn, they require a higher volume of exercise to maintain their condition. Suggested Routines Here is a basic strength training routine that you might add to your fitness regimen. For each exercise, start with a weight with which you can complete 15 repetitions and rest for one minute between sets.
