Latest Developments in Measurements There are new developments in Measurement that you should be aware of. First, we continue to collect data very quickly. We just completed collecting function point data for a major utility, representing 1000 developers, in two months. Second, our Productivity Risk Assessment is being used regularly as a mandatory requirement for all major projects. The process begins with a function point count and check on estimated Productivity. It then reviews all of the hardware, software, people and requirement Risk factors of the project. It identifies all of the issues that are helping and/or hindering the project team and reports back to management in just two days. Management then reacts to eliminate any hindering factors. Although this sounds like normal project management, Management gets an assessment from an entirely different perspective.
