What are the Laser Safety and Regulatory Approvals?
Low Intensity Laser Therapy is approved by Health Canada and the FDA. The BioFlex system has also demonstrated clinical efficacy and compliance with all required safety standards and is UL and CSA approved. The BioFlex system utilizes a Class 3B laser that emits a laser light wavelength that are potentially harmful if viewed directly. Accordingly, when the 3B Laser Diodes are used the patient and practitioner must wear approved safety eyewear. This is not required when using the Super Luminous Diodes.
