The Republic of Panama has two main cities, one situated on the Pacific Coast known as Panama City and the other on the Caribbean Coast known as Colon. Panama City (population over one million) is the capital and principle commercial center and Colon is a city that houses the largest free trade zone in all of the Americas. David is Panama’s third most populous city. It is the capital of Chiriquí Province and the center of a rich farming region. Chiriquí is also one of the fastest growing areas in Central America.
