What are the kids favorite foods?
As of Spring 2009… James’ favorite foods are mussels, sushi, and… two all-beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun. Miranda’s favorites are pizza, steak, and mac & cheese. Her taste in food is quite American standard. Alyssa’s top three foods, in order, are sushi, corn dogs, then lobster. She obviously has eclectic taste. Curious, no chicken in the lists. Miranda is a selective eater. James and Alyssa, on the other hand, are quite adventurous. They’re willing to try anything once. On the unusual side, we’ve tried snails, frog legs, alligator, and kangaroo. A friend one Christmas gave us game animal jerky which included buffalo, elk, alligator, venison, and ostrich. Manny and James could stomach almost anything but stopped at raw squid. One summer, James tried some dried scorpion mixed in a candy from the Smithsonian Natural History Museum.
