What are the key traits of an entrepreneur? Is it possible to arrive at these traits?
The central idea behind entrepreneurship is this perpetual desire to changethe status quo in a given context. And make some economic gains in the process. The most important things for becoming an entrepreneur are curiosity and an interest to change the way things are. Then there should be this capacity in the entrepreneur to execute this change. Execution will involve skills and the ability to take right decisions in risky times. Finally an entrepreneur should have a passionate mindset to go through this challenging process. Can we teach entrepreneurship in business schools? B-Schools cannot ‘teach’ entrepreneurship but can certainly contribute to the process by sharing skills and knowledge about businesses and people.
