What are the key stages at which National Examinations are administered?
There are three key stages: • Primary – Grade Level Assessment Test (GLAT) Grade 3 subjects examined: English Language and Mathematics. Grade 6 subjects examined: English Language, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. • Junior High – Bahamas Junior Certificate Examination (BJC) usually written at the end of grade nine. Ten subjects are offered: Art Craft General Science Health Science Home Economics Language Arts Mathematics Religious Studies Social Studies Technical Drawing • Senior High – Bahamas General Certificate of Secondary Education (BGSCE) usually written at the end of grade twelve.
