What are the key elements of effective performance management?
There are five key elements of effective performance management: • A flow of up-to-date and high quality performance data that is shared amongst and analysed by all key partners • A “can-do” culture inspired by strong leadership – this means that information on performance and barriers to performance in particular are dealt with quickly • Agreed lines of accountability, with each partner in the delivery chain clear about their responsibilities for taking action • Clear performance management and review arrangements, combining challenge and support.
