Foremost, a nurse has to have passion for the profession. Nursing is one of the most stable professions in today’s world, but it is also a difficult job. It disheartens me when I hear of people who are going into nursing because of the money. It is easy to tell the difference between a nurse who loves her profession and one who is there simply to collect the paycheck. Nurses who really love their job don’t just follow the physician’s orders. They are always looking one step ahead in order to be the best advocate for the patient.
