XPEDITER/IMS provides interactive, source level testing capabilities for COBOL, Assembler and PL/I programs. IMS/DC programs can run tests in a “live” IMS/DC region, instead of simulating a region through BTS. As the program executes, programmers have the option of using any of the available source-level debugging functions, including the option to step through source code, set breakpoints and display and modify variables. Programmers also have the option of recording information in a user profile, which can be reused each time the same test session is executed.
