Florida Dept of Labor statistics show 168 new positions per year in Florida. Correspondence from the State Supervisor of Technology Education indicates the true level is closer to 240 open positions. There are approximately 30-40 open positions just in the Tampa Bay area per year. St. Petersburg College offers the only traditional BS Technology Education degree program in Florida so there is great demand for program graduates.
