See the manual (Installation / Custom Installation / External IR (Infrared Remote) Installation). The IR input on the rear panel outputs +5 VDC on the tip for an accessory device: it is a 3 pin jack. OPPO will provide an adapter cable to 2 pin to connect to a standard IR block upon request, or make your own: Wire up a cable with 3 pin plug using ring and sleeve only (do not connect tip) and the rear IR port will work fine (ring, or intermediate terminal, is +). This is the same configuration as the DirecTV HR21 Pro rear IR port.
