What are the initial registration fees for investment advisers and investment adviser representatives?

0

Investment adviser representatives are $55 – Investment advisers are $100 The firm registration fee of $100 is the only fee required of a sole proprietorship, as disclosed on the ADV Part 1A, Item 3A. This does not relieve the investment adviser from filing a U4 application to register an investment adviser representative. If the IA is established as any other type of entity, as disclosed on the ADV Part 1A, Item 3A, but is a single/sole practitioner (one man shop), both firm and representative fees ($155) must be paid. However, a $55 refund may be requested through the Office of the Kansas Securities Commissioner.
