What are the ingredients of Pine Sol Disinfectant and Deodorizer?

The primary ingredients in Pine-Sol are pine oil, surfactants, and isopropanol (wiki). The other day, while looking for cleaners to help disinfect my house of the Influenza bug, I was wondering the same thing and, much to my surprise, Pine Sol makes absolutely no claims to be a disinfectant… only that it is an all purpose cleaner that “cuts grease & grime” – “Deodorizes” & “Shines” I feel a bit stupid as I have been using PineSol for a while thinking it was disinfecting when I cleaned but I was not. If you are looking to disinfect… try Lysol Disinfectant & all purpose cleaner… it tells you the bugs it kills. As for the detailed ingredients of either product… you could check with the Clorox company (pine-sol) or Reckitt Benkiser (lysol.com) OR call your local poison control & talk to them.
