Aredia or (Pamidronate Disodium) is indicated for the treatment of moderate or severe hypercalcemia associated with malignancy, with or without bone metastases; Paget’s disease; Osteolytic Bone Metastases of Breast Cancer; or Osteolytic Lesions of Multiple Myeloma. For very select cases, Pamidronate Disodium may also be indicated for disabling osteoporosis and will be covered if the patient has all of the following: • Severely disabling osteoporosis; • T-score less than or equal to -2.
