What are the incentives for cities and local governments to join the cCCR?
Cities joining the cCCR will be a part of a global community of local governments who will share details of their local climate action with the rest of the world. cCCR Signatory and cCCR Pioneer cities are invited to display their respective cCCR logo to announce their participation in this global community. cCCR Pioneer cities are eligible to participate at knowledge development and capacity building activities that will be organized by carbonn®. Cities that increase transparency and accountability surrounding their climate data will have a better chance of accessing global climate funds. Cities joining the cCCR will also have the opportunity to learn from other participating cities.
