Park improvements planned for 2008 include: – Reconfiguration of the park’s off-leash and on-leash areas – Protection of the park’s sensitive natural areas Re-development and paving of the existing parking lot – Development of the Council identified missing link pathway and relocation of existing asphalt pathway – Restoration of the north river bank, which was heavily eroded during the 2005 floods – Construction of a pilot river access structure to provide safer river access and ensure protection of adjacent fish habitat • What improvements are planned for the park’s off leash area? The City of Calgary Parks is currently in the preliminary design stage and is seeking input from park users on ideas for improving the off leash area. Comments received from the May 3 2008 public information session will be reviewed when developing improvement plans for the off-leash area.
