Best efforts should be made to provide a flat spot face on the machine at the cementing pad location. The cement interface on both the pad and the machine must be abraded and solvent cleaned to optimize adhesion. Appropriate adhesives must be employed to protect the installation from failure due to chemical attack; high temperature, long term degradation; and, the rigorous demands of maintenance personnel.
