What are the import Laws regarding reptiles?
It is perfectly legal to import reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and rodents into the UK with no quarantine…they are not covered by the laws that cover dogs and other animals. There are huge reptile shows on the continent every year and reptile enthusiasts bring tonnes of animals back with them. You just need the correct documentation to get them into the country.
Another company you could call is your local animal welfare or wildlife protection groups ran by the government I am not sure what they would call those groups in the UK but I am guessing they would not be much different. They would know exactly what the laws are and also exactly what can be done about it. They will most likely take further action in regards to the company for you if what the company is doing is illegal. Which it sounds illegal and unprofessional being most reptiles can be found through captive breeding home companies. If you would like to talk about this further feel free to join http://www.leopardgeckoz.com I think this would be a really good topic to discuss with the other reptile owners. Their may even be some users in the uk which could steer you the correct direction.
