Bonsall Institute of Work Psychology Despite the importance of effective knowledge sharing for competitive advantage, and growing trends in hot-desking and working offsite (i.e. away from the company office), the impact of flexible working practices on affiliation with the work group and company as a whole, motivation to share knowledge and knowledge sharing effectiveness remains under researched. The current research explored the implications of these arrangements using a sample (N=141) of consultants in a global organisation.
