What are the impacts of GM Foods on society and the environment?
reduces variability: [the people of the] society will eat a less varied diet as GM crops become more available than non-gm foods, possibly becoming malnurished; less variablity in crops runs the risk of plant infections devestating the entire crop (see banana history); the long term affects of GM food consumption have not yet been fully described….so…yikes.
