What are the IEEE Standards Board Standing Committees?
There are currently six standing committees of the IEEE Standards Board. Their names and purposes are discussed in the following paragraphs. Procedures Committee (ProCom) New Standards Committee (NesCom) Standards Review Committee (RevCom) Audit Committee (AudCom) Administrative Committee (AdCom) Patent Committee (PatCom) Procedures Committee (ProCom) This committee is responsible for recommending to the IEEE-SA Standards Board improvements and changes in procedures to promote efficient discharge of responsibilities by the IEEE-SA Standards Board, its committees, and other committees of the Institute engaged in standards activities. The ProCom Secretary is David Ringle. New Standards Committee (NesCom) This committee is responsible for ensuring that proposed standards projects are within the scope and purpose of the IEEE, that standards projects are assigned to the proper Society or other organizational body, and that interested parties are appropriately represented in the development
