Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City offer the best selection of hotels ranging from mini-hotels to deluxe properties. Beach resorts located along the coastline are relatively new, offering comfort in a private relaxed setting. In the outlying areas, accommodations normally range from 2 to 3 star class. Most hotels have private bath/shower, AC, mini-bar, safe box, and a television. We try to provide our clients with the most updated information on accommodation since hotels are constantly under renovation and new properties are continually being developed. PHACOVIETNAM selects accommodations appropriate to the type of programs offered and the clients’ preferences, ranging from hill tribe home stays to luxury resorts. For more information about the updated hotels, please log on to our sister website www.ehotelvietnam.

Hotels are generally three star deluxe accommodations on all of our teacher programs. In some cases we use university accommodations. Lodging is double occupancy so each teacher will be paired with a teacher of the same gender. In the case of friends or spouses traveling together, those participants will be roomed together. The single supplement charge is $500.

The hotels we use in Pyongyang are the deluxe class hotels; the Yanggakdo Hotel (usually) and the Koryo Hotel (occasionally) these hotel are western ¾ star equivalent and are equipped with bars, restaurants, shops, swimming pool, bowling, casino, and other entertainment facilities (including Karaoke of course). The hotels in Pyongyang always have reliable electricity, heating, air conditioning, hot water, and now have foreign TV channels including BBC World and Japanese and Chinese TV.

For the most part we will stay in Agiturismi, family operated, small inns which we have selected for their hospitality, cuisine, regional authenticity and comfort. All rooms have their own bath. Some Agiturismi do not have TVs in each room (we don t think you ll miss this) however, there is a common TV room ideal for checking out the Giro! All breakfasts and most dinners will be taken at the agriturismo. Much of the meal will reflect regional specialties and many of the temptations you ll see on your plate will have been harvested or prepared on premises.
