The hosting requirements are PHP and MySQL. Additional it’s good to have also GD (php library for working with images www.php.net/gd) because it’s used to generate captcha images and prevent spamming (but GD isn’t required, the usage of functionalities requiring GD can be turned off from the configuration file). Also a feature which can be turned on from the config file, is to use mod_rewrite to generate SEO friendly urls on the front site. Most of the Linux shared hosting packages support PHP, MySQL, GD and mod_rewrite (again GD and mod_rewrite aren’t required) but please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have additional questions related to hosting and the hosting requirements.
