What are the hospitalist services?
We have had hospitalists since 1999. They staff the Martin Service – named after a beloved Program Director at Penn. There are 12 hospitalists, four of whom are on service every month. All of the unassigned admissions and admissions from many of the general medicine practices are admitted to this service. These individuals are the teaching attendings as well as the attending of record for their services.
