What are the highlighted changes to the Continuing Education Handbooks?
The Board of Architecture and Interior Design recently updated the Architecture and Interior Design Continuing Education Provider and Course Handbooks as reference by Rule 61G1-21 and 61G1-24, Florida Administrative Code. The primary changes are as follows: • The provider expiration date changed from February 28, odd years to May 31, odd years. This renewal your provider expiration date will reflect May 31, 2011. • Courses expire two years from the date of approval instead of the set date of February 28, odd years. You will no longer renew courses but resubmit for review and approval. • The Interior Design provider and course fee changed from $50 to $25. • An architect can receive credit for taking an approved interior design approved course. • An interior designer can receive credit for taking an approved architecture course. • The board grants four hours of continuing education to licensees for attending a board meeting. Provided that the licensees in not on the agenda for applicatio
