What are the high school prerequisites required to get into a program for a Computer Science major?
Except for Mathematics, the courses for Computer Science are the same as for entry into the College of Arts and Science. In Mathematics, a student must have at least B30 and should have C30. It is helpful to have Computer Science 20 and 30, but neither is required. The College of Arts and Science** entrance requirements are English A30 English B30 Mathematics B30 or Mathematics C30 One approved 30-level science or language (other than English) or fine art One approved 30-level subject Two approved 20- or 30-level subjects ** Students may be admitted to this college with one deficiency among these subjects. The deficient subject must be completed prior to the student entering their second year of study. The admission average is calculated by substituting a mark of 65% or the 20-level mark in the same subject.
