What are the high level capabilities of the Windchill – Arbortext integration?
Arbortext Editor can now connect to the Windchill PDMLink server, thus enabling the management of Arbortext documents and static images as Windchill objects. This includes the ability to ‘burst’ Arbortext-authored documents into document components within Windchill, which enables configuration and lifecycle management (check in, check out, revise, promote, workflow) at both the component and document “assembly” level. Users can browse and search document components managed in Windchill and maximize reuse. This reduces authoring time, increases quality, and improves time to market. Graphics can also be incorporated into documents.
