What are the health benefits of doing Tai Chi everyday?
Many good answers to the overall benefits of practicing only the slow meditative forms. These are important, but there is so much more. Believe it or not, the slow forms only comprise a fraction of the full curriculum of Taijiquan. There are slow forms as well as fast forms, long forms and short forms, weighted forms, weapons forms(sword, saber, staff, spear, double sword, double saber, halberd to name a few…), qigong, meditation, partner practice, sparring, multiple drills and empty hand/weapons self defense. It has muscular, balance, aerobic, immunological, and circulatory benefits. And not to mention the benefits to personal and self development along side the martial arts. When the whole curriculum is taken into account, then even aerobic benefits are plentiful. This art, when taken in its entirety, is a complete lifestyle that satisfies all aspects of mind, body, and spirit health and wellness.
