The appropriate hardware requirements and supported software environments are listed in the product manual. In general, the Gateway runs on a Linux platform, needs a FastCGI compatible HTTP server, and an OpenSSL library. The hardware requirements are low – a Celeron class low-end system should be capable of handling loads at levels of 100 timestamps per second. The Gateway calendar cache consumes around 3-4 GB of disk space and an additional 1-2GB per year of operation. The network connections consume around 100Kbits per second per TCP session from the Gateway to a GuardTime grid server.
