What are the hardware requirements for F-Prot Linux?

0

We don’t have any official hardware requirements, but you will need at least 2 to 4 MB of free RAM if you are running the Enterprise version of f-prot. You can run both the enterprise and small business versions on a 486 computer (whether it’s your e-mail server or workstation). We do not recommend using an old 486 as a mail-server, specially since to day’s low-budget Pentium servers usually come with at least 64 or 128MB of RAM. You can expect f-prot to take up to 10 MB of hard-drive space after installation, so you will need at least that much free space. If you are planning on using f-prot with a mail-server or a file server, the odds are you will have plenty of free space, so this should not be a problem.
