What are the hardware requirements for an On-Premise Startforce solution?
A simple evaluation of Startforce requires a very modest hardware setup. A standard desktop computer running Windows with VMWare Server installed is more than adequate to facilitate a small handful of users intending to try out some of the features. Production requirements are certainly dependent on expected usage in terms of number of users as well as storage expectations. Also, high availability requirements will also drive the hardware infrastructure. As a general guideline we have found that a rack mounted server with dual quad-core processors, 8GB of RAM and 1Tb of disk space can handle about 1,000 users.
