What are the hardware and software requirements for connecting my personal laptop to the AU network?
In order to protect the university’s network and the other users on the network, all personal computers must pass a series of security checks. The purpose of these checks is to prevent viruses or other malware from infecting the network. Before you arrive on campus, please be sure your PC has current antivirus software with the most current virus signature updates and the latest updates for your operating system. If you have a school district computer which you will attempt to connect with, please speak to your school district IT department BEFORE you arrive and make sure that you have the ability to update the computer, if necessary. If your computer fails the security check and you do not have user privileges to make the updates, you may not be able to connect to the AU network.
