What are the guildlines for new clients?
Due to State and Federal guidelines, all participants on the Meals On Wheels Program are required to have a nutritional assessment done when they start the program and a reassessment done every six months from then on for as long as the participant is on the program. Without these assessments/reassessments, we would not be able to serve them. In order to meet these requirements, staff from the Nutrition Program will contact them soon after they start the program and arrange a courtesy visit. Home visits last around 30 minutes. Staff will ask them nutritional questions that pertain to their daily schedule. They can expect another reassessment visit every six months from the initial visit date for as long as they are on the program.
