What are the guidelines for the final exam?
Topics for your final exam are to be taken from the team presentations. You can decide (no need to obtain topic approval from me) the area, but narrow the topic to fit the length of the essay which should be between 600 and 900 word count. You do not have to use sources for this essay, but external sources may be necessary to strengthen your argument. Whether or not you use outside sources, you should submit the appropriate documentation relating to the references you make from the text Language Myths Use MLA guidelines. You may not choose a topic from your team’s presentation. Grading criteria for this assignment: 1) Scope and depth of language analysis 60; 2) Quality of academic writing 30; 3) Appropriate documentation 10.
