What are the guidelines for sampling in ERS?
States must obtain approval by the national program leader of any sampling plans before they are put into place in the county. It is the responsibility of the state EFNEP coordinator to work with a statistician to design an appropriate sample plan. Statistical tests that look at normal variability in nutrient, food group, and/or behavior checklist data should be included as part of the computation to determine the level of sampling needed to assure a representative sample.
