The Journal of Dental Education considers manuscripts submitted electronically, prepared in Microsoft Word. Authors are urged to follow the “Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals.” These requirements, developed by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors, are now in their fifth edition (1997) and can be found in the New England Journal of Medicine 1997;336:309-15 and on that journal’s website. You can find specific procedures for the Journal of Dental Education in the “Instructions for Authors,” located in the instructions and forms link at http://mc.manuscriptcentral.com/jdentaled. When an article has been accepted, authors should follow the “Production Guide for JDE Authors” (also available on the ScholarOne website) in preparing the final version of the article.
