What are the grounds for charter revocation in NJ?
A public charter school agreement may be revoked or denied renewal by the commissioner of education if the school has not fulfilled any condition imposed by the commissioner in connection with the granting of the charter or if the school violated state statutes or regulations. The Charter School Act of 1995 requires the commissioner to develop procedures and guidelines for the revocation and renewal of a school’s charter. N.J.S.A. 18A:36A-17.
