What are the graduation requirements at New Day Charter School?
In order to earn a diploma from New Day Charter School, students must complete/achieve the following four objectives: 1. Successful completion of 24 credits, with a minimum distribution in the following specified content areas: English 4 credits Math 4 credits Science 4 credits Social Studies 4 credits Electives 8 credits **SENIORS MUST COMPLETE THE REQUIRED 24 CREDITS or HAVE MET IEP GOALS AND OBJECTIVES IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMENCEMENT PROGRAM 2. Demonstration of proficiency on the 11th grade PSSA Reading, Math, & Writing tests or a review of the student’s academic progress by the administration and teachers of the student. 3. Satisfactory completion of a Graduation Project (Guidelines provided on www.newdaycs.org or through Dean of Student’s Office) 4. Adherence to the school’s attendance policy.
