Customers can do transactions using either SMS (Short Message Service) or GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) depending on the customer requirement, cost, or network availability. SMS charges are per 160 characters text message of transaction request sent to the bank while GPRS allows real-time data transfer with charges on a per 10/15-min or per kB basis depending on arrangement with mobile network operator.
