What are the good features of the property and location?
The dogs come with a small and very basic house near the town of Vilcabamba in Southern Ecuador. Its a beautiful, tranquil, riverside location with very basic services. The house is a traditional adobe and tile structure and the sitter will have access to two of the three rooms – kitchen and bedroom with ensuite bathroom. There is electricty, piped water, flush toilet and an instant electric shower. You will be able to have access to internet if you bring your own computer but there is no phone signal at the house, however you can make phone calls a few minutes walk up the hill behind the house. Ours is one of several family houses on adjacent blocks so there is help at hand if you need it and the family will check on you from time to time and fix any problems that could arise with the house. It takes an hour to walk to the town of Vilcabamba or 15 minutes in a taxi. The wonderful natural surroundings boast many mountain and riverside walking tracks.
