What are the goals of the World Literacy Crusade?
-To eliminate poverty, ignorance, disease, crime, drug abuse and hopelessness -To create responsible human beings who have the ability to learn and communicate in any subject -To bring an effective technology, already being used and proven effective, into our target areas across the United States and around the globe Is this program exclusively for children? No. We also serve adults through our literacy and drug-free outpatient program. Who funds the organization? The World Literacy Crusade is funded through private donations, city funding, county funding, state grants, foundation grants, fundraising events, and fees for services in some cases. The World Literacy Crusade has received funding from such organizations as ARCO, United Parcel Service, Gentleman’s Quarterly magazine, Northwest Airlines, US Airlines, Southern California Edison, Bank of America, Los Angeles County Alcohol and Drug Programs, California Access to Recovery, and KJLH Radio Station.
