What are the goals of electronic commerce?
The goals of electronic commerce are the same as the concepts found in recent business tools such as Total Quality Management, Customer Service, and Business Process Re-engineering, and from the public sector, the annual Operating Budget decision making process. These goals are to reduce costs, shorten service delivery times, expedite responses, and improve service quality. The difference between the older management tools and electronic commerce is that EC provides technological tools that allow accomplishing some of these goals.
