What are the GISc Lab facilities and when are they available?
Lehman College’s Department of Geology and Geography has a fully-equipped Geographic Information Science Laboratory in Room 322 of Gillet Hall, as well as general purpose Geoscience laboratories and classrooms. A student GIS lab in Gillet Hall Room 315 is available for student use during most weekdays, several evenings, and at least one weekend day (usually Saturdays). Lab schedules vary each term, and are dependent on class schedules and lab assistant availability. Lab schedules are posted by the second week of each term. The GISc Lab contains 22 Pentium Personal Computers, with a variety of mapping and spatial analysis software installed on each. Software includes ArcGIS and ArcInfo GIS, Spatial Analyst and Image Analyst extensions, which are all from Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI).
