What are the Georgia TAPP eligibility requirements for candidates?
Candidates must have: • A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field from a PSC-approved accredited college or university [Link to related fields document] • A passing score on the GACE® Basic Skills Assessment (All three parts: reading, writing, and math) or exempt by one of the following: • SAT, ACT, or GRE scores high enough to exempt this requirement). View GACE® basic skills requirement for exemption scores ) To obtain SAT or GRE scores, you can contact the Educational Testing Service at www.ETS.org. ACT scores can be obtained at www.ACT.org. SAT and ACT scores are also available on high school transcripts. • Passed the Praxis I test prior to September 1, 2006. • Hold a Master’s degree or higher • Major in teaching field or a passing score on the GACE Content Assessment (Note special requirements for OYSP , CA , and ADAC [Link to Matrix]. Teacher Candidates in these paths must pass specific GACE Assessments prior to admission to the program.
