What are the general education requirements at Fort Lewis College?
Fort Lewis College is a liberal arts institution so our general education requirements expose our students to a breadth of disciplines and themes. What’s unique to Fort Lewis College’s general education requirement are courses that focus on interdisciplinary learning centered around four theme-based knowledge areas called “Thematic Studies,” Culture, Identity and Expression, Technology, Natural Environment and Systems and Institutions. We also require competency courses such as Reading and Writing, Academic Library Research, Quantitative Reasoning and a Physical Education component. For more information on the courses and credits, please visit the General Education website.
