What are the GED Practice Tests?
The five GED Practice Tests are issued by the GED Testing Service and predict a student’s actual GED score within 15 points. That means that a student may score 15 points higher or lower on the actual GED than on the Practice Tests. For that reason, many programs require a student to score at least 450 on each part. Some programs require higher scores in Writing and Mathematics because these tests have the highest failure rates throughout the country. Q: Why can’t I just see how I test and not worry about the minimum score? A: The Florida Education Department limits each student to three test opportunities per year. It is important to do your best when you take the tests because there is often a long wait for appointments to take the tests. Q: How do I know which documents I need? A: The program where you enroll will have all the information you need. If you do not already have one, it is important that you obtain a valid Florida Driver’s License or Non-Driver’s ID.
